RPGs for your gaming machine coming soon

Thought I would update you with the latest news of some RPGs that will be arriving soon on your game machine of choice.

Darkspore is EA’s new take on their Spore game, which is being touted as “a fast-paced, sci-fi Action-RPG”.  You can fight in co-op or solo battles against hordes of enemies and bosses, collect living weapons, and upgrade with thousands of collectible body parts and armour.  It comes with an enhanched version of the Spore Creature Editor.  There is also a PvP arena battles for those that have a taste for that kind of bloodshed.  This will be available for the PC only, and will arrive sometime Q1 2011.  Official site link

Dragon Age: Origin Golems of Amgarrak A new DLC from EA will be added to the already large supply of DLC available for this game.  It is a Dwarven based adventure this time, as you delve deep underground.  There will be new puzzles and creatures to contend with, and is being suggest that this will be “an advanced challenge for even the most experienced adventurers”.  This will be out for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, which should be available for download from 10th August 2010.  Official site link

Dungeon Siege III which will be published by Square Enix, and be under the supervision of the original developer, will this time introduce a co-op mode that will allow up to four players.  The new game is said to be “an immersive world where every decision you make has a consequence, and intuitive action gameplay.  For the first time with this series it will be coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360, as well as the PC, and it will be due out sometime in 2011.

Disgaea 4 from Nippon Ichi Software has been announced, stating that this will “evolve [the series] to a new level”, and will “surprise everybody”.  It will be released on the PS3, and should arrive in Japan later this year.

Dragon Age II from EA has announced this sequel to the 2009 game of the year, upping the stakes with this new fight in the series.  It will be offering a new cinematic experience, where you will have to think like a general and fight like a Spartan, with the new combat mechanics.  “Embark upon an all-new adventure that takes place across an entire decade and shapes itself around every decision you make”.  This will be coming out on the PS3, Xbox 360, and the PC, which is due for release in Q1 2011.  Official site link
