Sandy Spirits

The name to this town gives much away to the climate it dwells in, the vegetation is very sparse.  The town has a lot of trading with the Mountain Folk for their food.  There appears to be an almost sand like river around the place, like a quicksand but very long.  There are numerous amounts of old wooden bridges spanning the yellow river in various places.  It is given that this must be where the town got its name.

The town was known as one of the early border towns from the early days, set up out of necessity for trading with the Mountain Folk.  The town would never sustain crops grown, even though the verdant land is only a stones throw away.  This has always seemed very odd to people and many myths have sprung up about this.  This was known as the marking point for the faith, and beyond it would be the land of another.
