Koe (声) – A JRPG Kickstarter

Koe is a Japanese style role-playing game (JRPG), but with a difference.  It is reminiscent of your typical JRPGs like Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest, whilst also introducing the player to the Japanese language, helping the player to learn the language as they play the game.  This giving the person a great start to learning the Japanese language, especially for those who are into all these JRPGs, or Anime and Manga.  The game being a fully fledge, story driven  Japanese Role-Playing Game.

The game is not like a voice translator, or has flash card, nothing like that, but has the focus in the game.  Having all the typical things that you would expect from a JRPG like, random battles, bosses, magic, buildings and cities, all within a story.  Having to collect item, gain experience, and use different weapons.  The battles are the usual, and to be expected, turn based style.  This game is also designed for those with no experience in the Japanese language, so no fear in not knowing what do to when you begin.  You will learn Hiragana, Katagana, and Kanji, as well as words and Phrases.

Initially the game is designed for the Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux.  With plans to bring it to the consoles too, but then that will depend on the support to the project.  As of today they have reached the initial target goal with 19 days left.

If this all sounds interesting to you, then please visit the Kickstarter page (here).  Where Jitesh Rawal from Strawberry Games, will explain the game better, and fill you in on all the details, stretch goals etc.
